Today’s beauty and wellness landscape is changing, with modern treatments now leaning towards a more sophisticated, results-driven approach, with the aim to enhance appearance, health and overall wellbeing.

Cocoon Mode De Vie Neuroarchitecture Design, from £38,000

Blending neuroscience, psychology, and design, Cocoon Mode De Vie creates tailored restorative living environments that are said to support mental and physical wellbeing. The concept of neuroarchitecture refers to the science of how spatial design may influence mood, focus, and emotional balance. Members begin with a neuro home review and a personalised design plan addressing light, layout, colour, and texture. The service extends beyond interiors through a virtual wellness clinic, offering guided neuro-meditation, monthly expert check-ins, and movement and nutrition programmes that aim to connect home and self. www.cocoonmdv.com

Hum2n Bone Strong Therapy, from £1,000

Developed in line with Wolff’s Law — the scientific principle that bone tissue adapts to the stress placed upon it — Hum2n’s Bone Strong therapy uses brief, high-intensity mechanical loading that is said to trigger the body’s natural bone-building response. Each 20–30 minute session applies controlled resistance to key skeletal areas such as the hips and spine, aiming to promote improved bone density, posture, and muscular strength. The therapy offers a low-impact, science-led approach to maintaining skeletal health, supported by research in osteogenic adaptation and bone physiology. www.hum2n.com

NAD⁺ Anti-Fatigue IV Infusion, £449

At The NAD Clinic, an intravenous infusion delivers Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD⁺) — a coenzyme essential for cellular energy production and DNA repair — directly into the bloodstream for optimal absorption. According to the clinic’s medical team, NAD⁺ levels naturally decline with age and stress, which may contribute to fatigue, cognitive fog, and slower recovery. The 60–90 minute infusion aims to restore cellular energy and vitality, with clients typically completing a short course of treatments for cumulative results. www.nadclinic.com

Justine Masters The Alternative Facialist, £350

Renowned among her patients for her results-driven, non-invasive approach, facialist Justine Masters will create a bespoke facial which combines Radiofrequency (RF), Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS), and Cryotherapy by Gelida, a non-invasive device which is reportedly capable of freezing unwanted and stubborn fat, tightening skin and improving the appearance of cellulite. Each session uses these techniques to stimulate collagen production, improve muscle tone, and enhance circulation to deliver a firmer, more radiant complexion without injectables. www.justinemasters.london

Human Health 360, £550

Bringing a medical-meets-functional approach to personalised healthcare, Human Health 360 offers advanced diagnostic testing intended to go beyond standard blood work (with further blood-works/tests potentially required after the initial appointment). Each consultation includes tailored assessments to analyse markers of inflammation, nutrient levels, hormone balance and gut health. Test results are available within one to two weeks and are believed to provide insight into underlying imbalances before they become chronic conditions. Their goal? To deliver preventative, data-led wellbeing strategies that empower long-term vitality. www.drmhumanhealth.co.uk

Nejati Dental Clinic Mahsa x Sarah Bradden Combines Body Cleansing & Oral Detox Treatment, £595

A collaboration between cosmetic dentist Dr Mahsa Nejati and holistic practitioner Sarah Bradden, this 90-minute treatment combines oral health optimisation with facial rejuvenation. The session begins with Guided Biofilm Therapy and Airflow Technology to deeply cleanse the mouth, remove bacteria, and target gum inflammation, which may be a factor linked to cardiovascular and metabolic health; according to research. Next, an herbal antiseptic gel infused with rosemary and thyme is applied, activated by red LED light to help boost circulation and cellular repair, before the second phase, led by Bradden, integrates acupuncture, acupressure, and LED light therapy, said to help sculpt the face, stimulate collagen, and restore energy flow. www.nejaticlinic.com

Your child is at university and you want them to have nothing but the very best, in terms of all resources available, accommodation, finances and more. And then there’s their nutrition, with many parents worrying over the poor choices they could make. But these days students have much more diverse palates when it comes to what they put on their plate. Here, expert Cathy Amos reveals what the biggest food trends among students and universities are. www.brake.co.uk

Street food culture

Dining at university used to be all about beige canteen trays, meat-and-two-veg style meals or eating more or less the same dish. But now, student dining reflects a more modern approach, with grab-and-go culture leading the way. As students increasingly eat on the go or in between lectures, they crave food that’s convenient – but that also reflects the diverse communities they’re part of, such as sushi, burritos and curries, alongside plant-based meals, allergen-friendly menus and coffee shops that offer non-dairy alternatives.

Catered-for meal packages

There is also a growth in catered-for meal packages within student halls, as universities recognise the benefits they bring. Beyond ensuring students have access to at least one nutritious and healthy meal a day, these packages are a powerful way of driving community and supporting wellbeing. What’s more, shared mealtimes are a great way to encourage students to socialise, reducing potential isolation and helping build friendships and communities. At a time when universities are increasingly emphasising student wellbeing, catered-for meal packages will be a big trend in 2026 and beyond.

Bringing in chefs trained in cultures

With international students making up as much as 50% at some universities, there is now a real shift towards authenticity, as universities bring in chefs trained across different cultures to deliver flavours properly. As much as university meals are driven by nutrition, it’s also about comfort and connection, ensuring those who travel to study experience a taste of home on campus.

Power of language driving sustainable menus

Universities are increasingly providing sustainable, plant-based menus, particularly those pushing agricultural initiatives. Frameworks like Menus of Change – which set out 25 practical principles for healthier, more sustainable catering – are helping universities design menus with sustainability at the core. It’s not just about big and bold shifts; it’s all about the smaller moves that can make sustainable menus more attractive to students.

Technological advancements

With a rising demand for knowing exactly what’s going into our food, universities are tapping into the digital landscape by utilising technology to help with menu prep, labelling and recipe management. Tools like Nutritics are leading in this field by setting standards in online menu management and recipe analysis, including nutrition, allergies and costs, as well as helping reduce waste. Most universities are mirroring the high-street experience with their own dining apps, for pre-ordering meals and checking out menus online, food-focused Instagram accounts run by catering teams and loyalty schemes.
